所谓京炉，就是指清朝时期设在京城的部属铸钱局，亦即宝泉局、宝源局。宝泉局，位于北京城东四四条83号，为明清时期户部所属铸造钱币的工厂。到了清代，宝泉局下属东、西、南、北四作厂，全部位于东城界内。清代宝源局，在工部设立，置监督职责，皇帝钦派（是仅次于侍郎的主官）专门掌管全局事务，满、汉各一人。就铸钱角度而言，京炉主要是指京城的宝泉局各铸钱厂。<br style="box-sizing: 0px;box-sizing: border-box;"> 在清代，各省设立的铸钱局设裁增减频繁，据不完全统计，先后设立的铸钱局多达五、六十所。至光绪年间，外省设立的铸钱局相继停铸废止，仅存北京的宝源、宝泉两局。光绪三十一年(公元1905年)，宝源局被裁撤。宣统二年(公元1910年)宝泉局亦被裁撤。机制币取代了铸造币。</p><p style="white-space: 如图3所示钱树，计有光绪重宝/宝泉当十2枚，大型光绪宫钱光绪通宝/天下太平、光绪通宝/八卦卦符各2枚计4枚，吉语钱一套20枚（与当十尺寸基本相同），合计26枚钱币。长约530mm，重 531g。树冠为元宝。该钱树的吉语钱极有可能就是宝泉局所铸，该钱树亦可为该套吉语钱的开炉钱树。正因为此，将该钱树称之为<strong style="box-sizing:
